Constructed from heavy duty heat resistant materials, this robust guard is specifically engineered for wooden vivariums and custom enclosures. It features an incredibly clever twist action base mechanism that allows keepers to remove the main protective cage easily when a bulb blows or needs replacing. This thoughtful design eliminates the hassle of unscrewing the entire fixture from the ceiling just to perform routine maintenance, making it an essential and unobtrusive piece of husbandry equipment.

How To Use

Position the mounting bracket of the guard directly over your ceramic lamp holder or bulb fitting on the ceiling of your wooden vivarium. Secure the top plate firmly to the wooden surface using six short wood screws. Ensure it is centered properly so the bulb hangs completely free without touching the sides of the mesh frame. When you need to install or replace a light bulb, simply use a quick twist action to release the main guard basket from the fixed top section. Once the new bulb is screwed into the lamp holder securely, align the slots and twist the protective mesh cage back into place to lock it. Regularly inspect the guard to ensure it remains securely attached and free from dust buildup.
